About Us

Started in 2002, Soda Pictures has established an impressive catalogue of world cinema and independent films working with upcoming directors as well as established talent across an eclectic mixture of feature film titles.

Theatrical successes over the last few years include Head-On by Fatih Akin; the Oscar nominated After the Wedding by Danish director Susanne Bier and Heading South by renowned French director Laurent Cantet starring Charlotte Rampling.

As well as concentrating on world cinema titles Soda Pictures represents an array of films on DVD from vintage and classic titles to emerging talent such as Kelly Reichardt’s cult film Old Joy starring Will Oldham.

Favourite Soda Title | Reconstruction

Co-founder and Managing Director of Soda Pictures, Edward previously managed the distribution operation of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, ICA Projects, as well as managing cinemas in Cambridge and London. Edward has a M.A. in Film and Television Studies from Westminster University and a B.A. in Sociology from Goldsmith’s college, London.

Eve Gabereau

Favourite Soda Title | Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress

Eve Gabereau is the co-Managing Director of Soda Pictures, a London-based independent distribution and programming company.

Prior to setting up Soda Pictures, Gabereau worked in International Relations and Cultural Affairs in Japan, China, the US and Canada. She also worked as a journalist and is published in The Guardian, The Independent and Time Out, as well as has appeared on the BBC’s DVD Collection, on CTV and CBC in Canada and on Fuji TV and Radio Japan in Japan.

She has a BA in Political Science from McGill University and an MA in Communications and East Asian Studies.

Kate Gerova

Favourite Soda Title | Azur & Asmar: The Princes’ Quest

Kate Gerova is Head of Distribution. Following her BA in Cultural Studies from
the Norwich School of Art & Design, she worked in corporate PR before
becoming involved in Film Marketing and Distribution specialising in the
promotion of award winning short films.

Frances Harvey

Frances Harvey is the Acquisitions Coordinator of Soda Pictures. Frances has previously worked at the BFI and Edinburgh International Film Festival. She obtained a BA(hons) in Scriptwriting at Bournemouth University.

Ben Metcalf

Theatrical Sales Co-ordinator

Favourite Soda Title | Garage

Ben is responsible for film sales & transport at Soda pictures. He joined the company in 2008 after completing an MA in Film Studies from Southampton University. He has nominated himself as official biscuit monitor and as such keeps the office supplied with all kinds of biscuit related confectionary.

Faith Taylor

Faith is the Publicity Co-ordinator for Soda Pictures. She joined the company in 2008 having completing an MSc in Film Business from Cass Business School.
