‘Your Winnipeg’ Launches Today!
As you may be aware come July 4th Guy Maddin’s My Winnipeg will be winging its way into cinemas care of Soda, but also launching today and inspired by the release is the film making competition ‘Your Winnipeg‘.
We want you to create a 3 minute documentary about your home town. Taking a lead from My Winnipeg we want the boat firmly pushed out in terms of creativity. The winner will be selected by a panel of industry experts including director Guy Maddin himself. The winning film will be featured on the UK DVD release of My Winnipeg, will screen on Channel 4 (care of Four Docs & 3 Minute Wonder).
But yes there is more as not one, but four films will screen on Channel 4 as well as receiving £1500, a selection of ‘the best of the rest’ will also go on to screen at the Branchage Film Festival alongside the winning entries in September. So what are you waiting for? You’ve only got until September 1st to submit your entry, so skedaddle!
