Synopsis

Emmanuelle Béart stars as a widowed schoolteacher who flees Paris with her children as the Germans advance on the city. Philippe is on the cusp of adolescence, Little Cathy knows only that they are going South. Before long, Odile and

her children have lost everything. Out of nowhere, Yvan appears and leads them to relative safety. Cut off from the rest of the world and living in confined quarters, Odile and Yvan find themselves confronted with their own desires.
