Synopsis

The first Argentinean film about the Falklands war

A former infantry mate's overdose sparks wartime memories for Esteban, who tries to reconcile his life today with the part of him that died along with his ideals and comrades in the Falklands/Malvinas War. Directed by Tristan Bauer, Blessed by Fire is the first film to present the conflict from the Argentinean perspective. It opens 20 years after the war with the attempted suicide of a former soldier whose friend has flashbacks of their time together in the trenches when they were woefully umder-prepared for battle.
